Prof. Rajnesh Tyagi

Prof. Rajnesh Tyagi completed his B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering from IIT-Roorkee in 1992, M.Tech in Industrial Metallurgy from IIT-Roorkee in 1995 and Ph.D. in Tribology from IIT-Roorkee in 2001.

His research interests include Material Development and Tribology, Surface Engineering. Prof. Tyagi has more than 15 years of experience in Teaching at premier engineering institutes of the nation. He worked as a senior research fellow in CSIR, New Delhi.

Prof. Rajnesh Tyagi has published many papers and authored a book on ‘Processing Techniques and Tribological behavior of Composite Materials’.

He received many awards/fellowships which include the prestigious ‘Young scientist award’ by DST, CSIR senior research fellowship etc.

Prof PK Mishra IIT BHU

Prof. Pradeep Kumar Mishra

Prof. P. K. Mishra has B. Tech in Chemical Engineering from IIT-Roorkee in 1986; M. Tech from IIT Bombay in 1988 and PhD from IIT BHU in 1996.

Prof. Mishra joined Department of Chemical Engineering at IIT (BHU) in January 1997 as Lecturer and currently working as Professor. His area of teaching and research include: Membrane Separation Processes, Extraction, Bioremediation, Bioenergy and Nano-materials.

In addition to his teaching and administrative contribution, he initiated and convened number of activities for the students. Some of those are Opulence (2004-2009) the entrepreneurship festival for the Institute, E Cell (2005), addition of recording facility to CET (Centre for Education Technology) (2001), TED Talks (2012-14) etc. He also initiated various training programs with EDI (Entrepreneurship Development Institute of India) Ahmedabad, MSME (Ministry of Micro, Small & Medium Enterprises), Deshpande Foundation, IIM Ahmadabad etc.

But perhaps his greatest contribution to our institute is the establishing and running of Technology Incubation Center, now called MCIIE (Malaviya Centre for Innovation, Incubation and Entrepreneurship). The center, funded by NSTEDB (National Science & Technology Entrepreneurship Development Board), DST (Department of Science & Technology), Govt. of India, helps creates scores of potential student and alumni entrepreneurs each year. Prof. Pradeep Srivastava

Prof. Srivastava has an impressive track record of more than 10 years as an academician as well as has a strong experience of working in Biotechnology industries (10 years) prior to joining academics. He has been visiting Scholar to University of Sydney. He has served as Visiting Professor at University of Pune (2001-2003), Indian Institute of Management (Lucknow) and several other Institutes. He is also a Scientific Expert in Chemistry and Chemical Sciences at Indian Patent Office. He has advised several PhD( 06 Awarded), 30 MTech, and 06 MS(Master of Surgery & Medicine) Thesis and one Post Doc fellow.

His research activities have resulted in more than 80 peer reviewed International / National Publications/ Proceedings, 01 Book and 08 Book Chapters, 06 Patents and over 100 presentations at Conferences, including 40 Invited Lectures. In addition to his publication activities, He is in Editorial Board of Several National and International Journals. . Dr Srivastava has been recipient of several Awards and Honours, including ORS Award of UK, DBT Overseas Associateship(GOI),CSIR Post DOC Award, Member National Academy of Sciences, etc. He is also member of several Professional Societies like AAPS, TERMIS, IIChe, etc.

Prof. Srivastava’s research primarily focuses on health care derivatives/products and process development, evaluation and development of Platform technologies in Translational Health Sciences which include Stem Cell regeneration, Wound Healing Process, Cancer research, and acute kidney failure in children.

Prof. Srivastava, has been serving the Society by playing a pivotal role in Entrepreneurship. He has initiated Centers for Entrepreneurial Learning(OLPE), Technology Entrepreneurship Promotion Program(Funded by DSIR, GOI), Technology Commercialization Facilitation Program(TCFA, TIFAC), Innovation Cluster in SME, and establishment of Technology Business Incubator at IIT(BHU) Varanasi, to promote Start UP activities in Innovative Technologies. He is mentor to 03 startup companies on innovative technologies.

He has been Technical Advisor to several Companies to include Nanyang Pukang Group (China), Alkem Ltd, TRCC Gurgaon, Varuna BioCell(P) Ltd, Amrutanjun, Ltd, FICCI, Observing Eye , Agati HealthCare (P) Ltd, etc. His expertise in Technology Transfer and IPR is well acclaimed by his significant contribution in several committees at Institute/ University level, Government level, etc. (Curtsey: Details taken from website:
