The Andhra Pradesh Public Service Commission, or APPSC for short, is one of the biggest state hiring boards in India. It holds some exams to choose applicants for a variety of positions in the state government offices of Andhra Pradesh. There are now 897 open positions according to the Andhra Pradesh Public Service Commission. On December 7, 2023, they made their formal announcement public.

APPSC Group 2 Notification 2023-24

The dates of the APPSC Group 2 Recruitment 2023-24 are from December 21, 2023, to January 10, 2024. It consists of both executive and non-executive positions. There are four steps in the selection process. Candidates need to speak Telugu and English fluently. Job locations within Andhra Pradesh will be allocated to selected candidates. Online examinations will not be conducted. After reviewing the qualifying requirements and terms & conditions, candidates must apply.

Eligibility Criteria for Group 2 Recruitment in APPSC

Candidates wishing to apply for Group 2 Recruitment 2023-24 in APPSC must meet the following eligibility criteria.

Education Requirement:

The candidates must have graduated from a university accredited by the government. The degree needs to be finished by July 12, 2023.

Maximum Age:

The age restriction will change based on the particular post. Candidates who fall under the SC, ST, and OBC categories would be eligible for a 5-year upper age relaxation.

  • Grade III Municipal Commissioner: 18–42 Years
  • Sub-Registrar, Grade II; Age Range: 20–42
  • Assistant Tahsildar: 18–42 Years
  • Officer of Labour, Assistant: 18–42 Years
  • Deputy Registrar: 18–42 Years
  • Limitations and Excise Sub-Inspector: Ages 18 to 30
  • Officer of Extension, 18–42 Years
  • 18–42 years old as an assistant development officer
  • Every Non-Executive Role: 18–42 Years

Application Fee

In order for their application to be successfully submitted, applicants must pay the application fees online. Applicants in the General Category must pay an application cost of Rs. 330, while those in the SC, ST, BC, PH, and Ex-Service Men categories must pay an application fee of Rs. 250. Candidates from other States must pay a processing charge of Rs. 250 in addition to the examination fee cost of Rs. 80.

How To Apply for APPSC Group 2 Recruitment 2023-24?

STEP I: The applicant must log in to the Commission website using their registered OTPR number in order to apply for the position. In order to receive an OTPR ID, candidates who are applying for notifications for the first time must first thoroughly complete out the OTPR application. The candidate must make sure that all of the information is entered accurately when completing the OTPR. If any of the candidates make mistakes, it is not the Commission’s fault. If applicants want to make changes, they can click the alter OTPR button, make the changes, save them, and go on to STEP-II.

Step II: Using the Candidate’s password and User Name (OTPR ID), the Applicant must log in to the Commission’s website. The applicant must click on “Online Application Submission” located in the lower right corner of the Commission’s webpage after logging in. To apply, the candidate must now click the Fill Application button next to the notification number.

Step III: After verifying that all the information is accurate, the applicant must fill out application-specific information such as their White Card details, Local/Non-Local status, and other facts. These details are also used to determine the application fee. Therefore, the applicant should utilize the amended OTPR link, edit the information, save it, and then click on online application submission once again if any data needs to be updated. After carefully filling out all the required information (qualifications, exam location, etc.), submit the application using the Save or Save & Submit option.

Step IV: After you successfully pay the cost, the “Save & Submit” button will take you to the payment gateway, where your application will be filed at last.

Selection procedure for Andhra Pradesh Public Service Commission Group 2

The APPSC Group 2 Exam will be conducted in four stages. Those who qualify will be approached for document verification before they are assigned to the position for which they were selected.

  1. Prelims: Type of objective, 150 total questions, one mark for each question, and a 1/3 negative mark
  2. Mains: Detailed format, 300 total questions, 1 mark for Paper 1 and 2 marks for Paper 2, and no negative marking
  3. CPT: The candidate has to know how to use word processing, spreadsheets, and the Internet.
  4. Verification of Documents: Those who have been shortlisted will be contacted to submit their supporting documentation, including proof of education, a birth certificate, and a cast certificate.
